Injury Prevention Screening
Injury Prevention Screening uses objective assessments to identify movement limitations, muscle imbalances, and strength deficits that may increase your risk of injury. We create an individual movement profile to guide tailored interventions in strength, mobility, and coordination—helping you move better, perform stronger, and stay injury-free.
What is it
Stay ahead of injury
These screenings combine clinical assessments and performance testing to give you a clear picture of your movement capacity. By identifying red flags early, we can prescribe targeted strategies to keep you training and performing at your best while reducing your risk of injury.
Where we start
Your 1:1 initial appointment
Your screening begins with a thorough review of your injury history and training goals. From there, we conduct individualised testing across mobility, strength, and power to capture your current performance profile. Using clinical tests and advanced tools like VALD systems, we’ll assess asymmetries, compare results to normative data, and highlight any red flags.
How we keep moving
Your personalised plan
You’ll receive clear education, practical advice, and a tailored strength or prehab program that directly addresses the key findings from your assessment. This includes:
Injury history & goal setting
Mobility, strength & power testing
Report generation & analysis
Targeted interventions & programming

Your questions, answered
-
What is an injury prevention screening?
A detailed assessment designed to identify movement inefficiencies, strength imbalances, or biomechanical issues that may increase your risk of injury—especially during sport or high-load training.
-
Who should get an injury prevention screening?
Any active individual or athlete—particularly those starting a new season, increasing training load, returning from injury, or aiming to improve performance while reducing risk of injury.
-
What happens during the session?
We assess strength, mobility, stability, and movement control using clinical testing and VALD technology systems. Depending on your goals, this may include running or movement analysis.
-
How long does the screening take?
Sessions run for 60 minutes.
-
What do I need to wear?
Wear activewear and runners—something that allows you to move comfortably for testing, running drills, or exercise-based assessments.
-
Do I need to be injured to book a screening?
No. Screenings are designed to prevent injuries before they happen, especially for high-performing or returning athletes.
-
Will I get a report or program after the session?
Yes. You’ll receive a summary of your results plus a tailored exercise or prehab program targeting any areas of concern.
-
Can this be done as part of a team or group screening?
Yes. We offer both individual and team-based screening options. Clubs and teams can reach out for more information.
-
Is this session covered by private health insurance?
Yes. Sessions are run by accredited exercise physiologists, and private health rebates may apply depending on your cover.
-
How often should I do a screening?
We recommend every 6–12 months, or ahead of major training changes such as pre-season, post-rehab, or before a key event.
